Hi friends!

Happy Monday! Today I wanted to try something different for P.S. It’s a little roundup of a few of my recent favorite things, all paired in twos sorted by category. I’m starting with…

Two Things to Read:

  • Wired: Social Media Sleuths, Armed With AI, Are Identifying Dead Bodies by Deidre Olsen

    • In this story, Deridre Olsen reports on the use of AI image recognition in the identification of missing persons. While there may be many benefits to this technology (not the least of which is closure for victim’s family members) some are warning about ethical concerns around privacy and consent. The piece provides a balanced look that I really appreciated.

  • New York Times: The Strange $55 Million Saga of a Netflix Series You’ll Never See (gift link) by John Carreyrou

    • This article was making its rounds when it first appeared a few months ago, and I’m still thinking about this rollercoaster of a story. It’s an illuminating and strange glimpse into the current landscape of television, streaming media, and the people behind it.
