Books That Don’t Exist, A.I. Meltdowns, and a Thriller I Can’t Put Down 📚 (Issue #106)
We picked a winner! Plus, what I’m watching and reading this week.
Hi friends!
It’s a short and sweet issue this week–things are a little wild over here! We’re deep in busy season for weddings, I’ve got some exciting Truer Crime updates coming soon, and I’m also playing nurse as Andrew recovers from a tonsillectomy. (10/10 patient, for the record.)
In the meantime, my team and I are looking forward to reviewing your survey responses and considering how we can incorporate your feedback into future issues of Sincerely, Celisia.
As promised earlier this week, the survey giveaway has officially closed, and a winner has been selected! I’ve contacted the lucky Visa gift card recipient via email, so check your inbox just in case it’s you. 👀
If you didn’t get a chance to fill it out, you still can! You won’t be entered into the drawing anymore, but your thoughts are still so valuable to me.
👉🏽 Take the survey here.
Thanks for being here, always!
A round-up of things to watch, read, and listen to as you head into the weekend.

The New York Times: A.I. Is Getting More Powerful, but Its Hallucinations Are Getting Worse by Cade Metz and Karen Weise
Even as A.I. models like ChatGPT become more widely used and advanced, they are also producing incorrect answers at higher percentages compared to earlier models. Apparently, hallucinations will always be a feature of A.I., but no one knows why they’re getting worse.
The New York Times: Alarmed by A.I. Chatbots, Universities Start Revamping How They Teach (gift link) by Kalley Huang
Speaking of A.I., this is an interesting report on how colleges and universities are adapting their programming to combat student use of A.I. in the classroom.
Prime Video: The Better Sister
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this show for a few months, and it did not disappoint! Already texted my bestie to drop everything and start watching. Mystery and thriller lovers are gonna enjoy this one.

I read the first couple of pages of Dark Matter* by Blake Crouch at a bookstore a few months ago, and so I was pumped when the e-book became available on Libby! The story follows Jason Dessen, who’s kidnapped and knocked unconscious — and when he wakes up, his life isn’t how he remembers it. The book unravels as he tries to figure out which version of his life is real: the one he remembers, or the one he’s suddenly living. I’m so hooked and already counting down to watch the Apple TV series after I finish.
Okay, I swear this is the last unsettling A.I. story I’ll share this week! Earlier this summer, a magazine published its 2025 summer reading list — but the twist? The list was written by A.I., and it included books that don’t even exist. And somehow, it still made it all the way to print. 😩 Here’s the recap:
Last Friday, I shared a fun Twin Cities guide to spots worth your time this summer. If you’re local, or planning a trip here soon, be sure to check it out:
AND! With the start of a new month came another edition of P.S., my special bonus issue where I shared about my Survivor-themed 30th bday party, as well as my May faves. :)
Have a good weekend!
